Monthly Favourites – June and July

Helloooooo!

Ages ago, I decided I wanted to start a monthly favourites feature on my blog, but I haven’t actually done one since my first one. (Ooopsie!) Because of this, I’m combining two months in this post!

So, without further ado, here are some of my favourite things from June and July!

1. Shut Up and Dance by Walk the Moon

I absolutely LOVE this song! It’s just so fun and it just makes me (and others) want to dance!

2. The Feministas!

(Kinda cheeky self-promotion here)

Fairly early in June, a group of bloggers including myself were talking about people who inspired us in the Blog Squad group chat thing that An Overthinking Teen and Emma Watson came up. Naturally, we started talking about feminism and thus The Feministas was born! YAY!

The Feministas is a blog about feminism and other big issues in the world! I think there’s about 9 of us now (some people left) and you can visit the blog here!

5. Disneyland!!!! 😀

As quite a few of you know, I went to Paris with school in late June/ early July.  Whilst I was there, I visited Disneyland Paris and OMG IT WAS SO AMAZING AND I JUST FANGIRLED.  Admittedly, I had been before (I had my 6th birthday there!) but it was just so lovely to get to go again!  I would (obviously) love to go again as there’s always so much more to see and do every time, but for now I’ll remember this experience! 🙂

6. americansoda.co.uk

THIS WEBSITE IS SO COOL!!!!

They sell American sweets, drinks and other things that you can’t really get hold of easily here in the UK, and they are SO GOOD!  They can be a little expensive, but it’s definitely worth it in my opinion!

7. Good Times by Ella Eyre

THIS SONG THOUGH.  Just listen to it:

8. She’s Kinda Hot by 5SOS

Again, just listen to it!

Thanks for reading! I’d love to know what you really enjoyed these past few months, so feel free to let me know in the comments!

xx Elly xx

  1. Oh man, I wanted to go to Disney land Paris 😄
Though I’ve been to hong kong one(it was so great there!) , I think the Disney land in Paris would have been much more amazing x

    1. OOH, I didn’t know there was one in Hong Kong! I’m sure you’ll get to go someday! Just make sure (if/when you do go) you get a bottled drink and find out where the water fountains are because buying anything costs a lot!
I bet the Hong Kong one is still amazing and magical and full of Disney-ness! 🙂

      Thanks for commenting! xx

      1. Thank God there is, because it’s like near where I live and I really really wanted to go to Disney land ! Ikr, in HK, it’s the same 😱
I think seeing Princess Aurora made my day when I went there but it’s just too bad Peter Pan was not there! x

        1. OMG YOU SAW AURORA?! We couldn’t even find any princesses this time round; a whole group of us (including the teacher) were looking for them! It’s a shame when you can’t find the characters you’d like to, but the whole experience is still great!

It seems quite lucky that you live nearby! Paris is probably the closest Disney park to me, but travel costs are still soooo expensive!

          xx

  2. YASSSS SHUT UP AND DANCE + ELLA EYRE! (5SOS aren’t bad either ;)) ooohh I cannot WAIT for the new EE album, and have you heard about the new Lauren Aquilina music? SQUEEE! And Disneyland…wow! I’ve been to the Paris one years ago, but I also really want to go to the Orlando one (mainly for Harry Potter, ngl). Awesome post, I hope you do an August one!

    1. YASSSSS!! I really can’t wait for the new Lauren Aquilina and Ella Eyre stuff; I follow them both on Twitter and the build up is almost too much!! SQUEEEEEEEEEE!!!

The Paris one is amazing, but I also would love to go to the Orlando one too (again, HARRY POTTER)! (Random thought: how cool would it be if The Blog Squad met up there one day?! 😱😱😱)

Thank you! And thanks for commenting! xx

        1. I’d never be able to afford to go unless I saved up for YEARS, but a girl can dream, eh?! 😁 I agree that even just meeting up with the Blog Squad anywhere would be amazing! xx
