In the Hot Seat with the Hot Chocolates – BB Creativity Project

Helloo!

Today’s post is quite special, as is part of a project I’ve been involved in for a little while now! The project is of Nori (from Read Write Love)’s creation, and is called the Book Blogger Creativity project. Whilst I’m not technically a book blogger, I am a blogger and I often post bookish things, so when I heard about it, I just had to join! I’m part of the team called The Hot Chocolates, hence the name for this feature!

For In the Hot Seat with the Hot Chocolates, our team have devised a list of questions for us all to answer! So, without further ado, here are my answers!

Questions from Olivia @ The Candid Cover:

Are you a fan of book-to-movie adaptations? If so, which is your favourite?

If they are done well, yes, absolutely! I love being able to see worlds I love come to life on screen! It just annoys me when they miss out SOME OF THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS YES I’M LOOKING AT YOU HARRY POTTER

😁

Do you ever have crushes on characters in books? Who is your current crush?

Not really!

large (1)

Does this make me not normal? 😁

Questions from Elizabeth @ Thoughts from an Evil Overlord

How long does it take you to pull together a review after you’ve read the book?

Welll, haha, Ikindadon’tdoreviewssorryokbye

But seriously, I can’t review stuff unless I take MOUNTAINS of notes. Which is what I’m doing at the moment whilst reading Wuthering Heights for school. So I guess we’ll see how long that takes.

Do you read ahead or skip certain elements in a book? Why?

Hardly ever! Although I did skip ahead when a certain character had a rather confusing death in Harry Potter to desperately try and make them not dead find out if they were actually dead or not. They were, unfortunately (*cries forevermore*)

Questions from Milka @ Read.Read.Read.

Which book would you like to see turned into a film or a TV series? Who would you cast for the roles of the main characters?

OOOOOOH I DON’T KNOW! Can’t I just say ALL THE BOOKS? And they’d have to be done well. Therefore the actors would need to be amazing!

Which fictional character would you like to go on a date with? What would you do?

Hmmm, like I said earlier, I never really get fictional crushes, so I can’t really answer this one. Oopsie!

Questions from Kat @ Books and Sensibility

What is the last book you pre-ordered or purchased the day it came out?

I don’t know. It might have been Sweet Honey by Cathy Cassidy, which I still need to read, actually. After the 5 books I’m currently reading at the same time, of course.

Which author do you think is amazing that you feel l like doesn’t get enough love?

ALL THE AUTHORS!

Seriously, it takes a lot of time, effort and perseverance to write a book, and even more to get it published, so authors, I applaud you. *squishy hugs all the authors*

Questions from Alice @ Alice’s Book Vault

What book, if there is one, has given you the worst book hangover?

The Harry Potter series. I WILL NEVER GET OVER THEM! NEVER!

brb dying
brb dying

What series do you wish would never end? That you could always get more of?

HARRY POTTER AGAIN. ALWAYS HARRY POTTER.

Always. *sniffs*

Questions from Wesaun @ Oreos and Books

If you had to face your biggest fear or fears with a character to be your guide along the way, which would you choose?

Probably Hermione. She’s logical AND awesome. Also magic.

hermione clap
Tiny Hermione 🙂

What’s a book that would inspire you to do a cosplay/nail art/clothing/other? Why?

HARRY POTTER OBVS

(There’s kind of a running theme here, don’t you think? :P)

Questions from Brittany @ The Passionate Bookworms

What is the last book you DNF’d? At what point did you stop and why?

Pride and Prejudice. I just couldn’t really get into it, but I didn’t get far anyway. Ah well!

What do you think the next trend of books will be? For a long while it was dystopian, what is your prediction for the next big genre?

Like Olivia said in her post, I think Fantasy (as in like magic and dragons and awesomeness) is fairly big right now. And let’s face it, who doesn’t love being transported to another world when reading?

Questions from Nori @ Read Write Love

If you could visit any world in any book, which world would you visit?

The wizarding world from Harry Potter, of course!

tumblr_moykpjThJm1rhek0ko1_500

Who is your book boyfriend/girlfriend OR what character do you think could be your best friend?

I’m going to go for the best friend one, and I’ll say possibly Neville or Luna from, again, Harry Potter. They are both quirky and don’t really fit in with everyone else, so I’d love to be friends with them!

Questions from Tee @ Me, Books and the Internet

Which book character do you think you’re most like? Why?

Neville Longbottom. I’m clumsy, awkward and forgetful, but people don’t seem to mind me despite all this!

anigif_enhanced-20746-1397520111-5

Have you ever read a book that had a moment that happened to you in real life? If, what book and what moment?

Not that I can think of right now!

Questions from Elly @ A Hufflepuff’s Thoughts (That’s me!)

Choose one shelf from your bookshelf.  What does it look like? (take a picture)

FullSizeRender

On this shelf, there are books by Jacqueline Wilson, Michael Morpurgo, Beatrix Potter, Veronica Roth (Divergent, above the Michael Morpurgo ones), Anne Frank, Cathy Cassidy (I won this one!) and L.M. Montgomery (Anne of Green Gables + Anne of Avonlea), some of which I still haven’t read!

If you could have any animal/ non-human character from any book, who/what would you choose and why?

CROOKSHANKS!!

Or Hedwig. Both are adorable!

Those are my answers! Be sure to look out for everyone else’s posts! Kat @ Books and Sensibility is tomorrow!

If you want to have a go too, please feel free to leave your post in the linky below, and/or leave a comment for me to check it out!

Check out Elizabeth’s post for the Linky (as it won’t work on mine!)

Byeeeeee!

  1. I LOVE that you used a AVMP gif ! I actually mention Darren Criss in my post.

I will never get over how Harry and Lily have very different eye colors in the movies. I know they said Daniel Radcliffe was allergic to the contacts, but they could have atleast done it with CGI or something.

    1. OMG AVPM IS SO ANAZING! And I’ll definitely check out your post when you put it up!
The whole different eye colour thing was so annoying. I don’t think the fandom will ever get over it, let’s face it. I agree that they could’ve done it with CGI.

      Thanks for commenting!

  2. Harry Potter all the way!!!! Who died that you didn’t want to die?
the person I didn’t want to die was Sirius 😦 I almost cried when I found out he wasn’t coming back 😦
    Great post!

  3. Hot chocolate? HOT CHOCOLATE?
I got overly excited there for a second. 🙂
I’m sure you’ll be able to finish Wuthering heights some day… *Hides crossed fingers behind back*
If it’s any consolation, you can do the book review without finishing the book (because, let’s face it, everyone in our class is doing that.)
What book character you’re most like? I’d probably say Mouse (it was Mouse that broke the tuba, wasn’t it?) because you’re both a bit clumsy but you’re both smart and loyal. Plus you both play musical instruments. And probably regularly hit people with it.
Not sure who I’d be. But I totally agree with Crookshanks! 🙂

    1. YASSS HOT CHOCOLATE!!! You may have a go if you wish as it is a linky!
I probably will finish it one day, just not before Friday because I have too much stuff to do. Hopefully The Yellow Wallpaper will only take a little while to read!
Who dis Mouse be? I like them. They are me. 😁😝 And you probably know from experience about the hitting people with stuff thing. I’m waaaaaayyy too clumsy!
You could be Hermione. ‘Cause you’re top of the class, awesome, logical, and did I mention AWESOME?! And Crookshanks is too adorable not to want, right?! (Also if you were Hermione – which you practically are – then you would have automatic rights to him in all his fluffy glory)

Thank you for commenting, my favourite bean! ☺️ xx

      1. It’s only 6,000 words long! (So, you know, slightly longer than my English essay…)
Mouse from Ruby Redfort. (I couldn’t actually find the book so I’m not sure if I’m talking about the right person but ahh well…)
You think I’m smart enough to be Hermione? (Let’s face it, my bag is already heavy enough as it is without 3,000 page long books…) 🙂

        1. Ah, good! And that essay thing is one reason why you’re definitely Hermione!
I think I know who you mean now! Sorry, I’ve read several books with people called Mouse in. Must be a popular name! x

  4. I love all the Harry Potter in this 😀 Not that I’m surprised haha. Whenever I read those questions you answered something Potterish for I already knew it would be a Harry Potter related answer 😀
I totally feel you on trying to find out if someone dies or not haha. Whenever a character is mortally injured I skip ahead a few pages to see if I catch their name somewhere haha
